What Nintendo needs to do for the next-gen war

Hi there folks, anyone else really excited about the N2000? I know I am, I mean, every time Nintendo released a system, it surpasses anything on the market, and seeing what the Sega Dreamcast showed us, the N2000 will make our mouths water more than the best looking model in the Victorias Secret Catalog.

The biggest thing Nintendo can do to help themselves is to make a large amount of release titles, because with lots of choices between genres, gamers will feel that the system has something for every type of gamers preference. I for one am an Rpg fan, and I would love to see maybe an Ogre game on the N2000. And just imagine, with rpgs (as well as any genre) gamers can play any type of game they want if many titles are available at launch. The lack of any one type of game can seriously hurt a system; I think we saw this with the N64. The Sony Playstation had all the rpgs, which meant that if youre an rpg fan, then you had to buy a psx, youre kinda out of luck otherwise. If all types of games are available, then people can buy the N2000 and wont have to worry about if it will have any good rpgs.

Another thing I believe will help Nintendo would be to make sure no one type of game is on the N2000. The N64 had an overabundance of racing games, and all of them sucked ass!! Was there one good one?? Well maybe a couple, but considering that hundreds were released, that’s not a good ratio. If Nintendo balances the game types, then this will not happen. If you couldn’t tell, I believe software is the most important part of a system.

So in conclusion, if Nintendo follows my simple advice, then we’ve got a huge party to prepare for!!(we also got the new years of 1999, doesn’t that just rock!!?)
